Review: The Intern

the intern poster

I’m a sucker for these types of movies. I have father complex and the story of old guy that lose their mojo then have to keep up with younger generation with all technologies pretty much hit me through my heart. I ended up enjoyed The Intern just like I imagine.

Hathaway was wonderful and endearing as strong woman that runs her business as obsessively as any startup CEO would but also felt like human. She wanted to love and be loved, have emotional depth and refreshing to see. De Niro was, well, De Niro. He was cute and charming, suave and calm. This movie sounds like a metaphor for Robert De Niro himself. He’s done enough where he has nothing left to prove to anybody, so he does this to occupy his time.

The Intern is sentimental, but there were some really really good scenes of human emotion. The humor was cute, and what could’ve been a silly turn was played very earnestly and totally worked. Personally I LOVED, like REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVED the clothing/wardrobe in this movie.
