Let me scream this first, the cast is AH-MAH-ZING! Main reason for seeing this movie for me was to see if I can see Cavill not as Superman. And damn did he impress me, he’s just so suave! Not only him, I also impressed with Armie Hammer more than anyone else, his and Hammer’s dialogue and interactions were fantastic. AND OH, Alicia Vikander (who impressed me a lot in Ex Machina) is really attractive in this movie.
I actually am amazed Henry Cavill didn’t get cast as Bond. He’s literally a walking Bond stereotype and all during the movie I was thinking he was a perfect blend of Roger Moore and Sean Connery, which I guess is why I loved Man From Uncle.
So anyway, back to the movie.
The Man from U.N.C.L.E has few very comedic moments that had me laughing pretty hard. Hammer and Cavill had some great and fun interactions. I like how they showing off what they each bring to the table for their partnership. “Cowboy” “Peril.”
I can list every fun moments in this movie down one-by-one but I don’t want to give spoiler. What great is, none of the humor seemed out of place. Cinematography was fantastic as was the overall style of the film and the use of soundtrack. The outfits, oh man! I wish I owned everything the girls wore. My old soul screaming for YES and YES because the costumes created a real vibe of sixties spy movie
This movie is going to go under the radar I think in the theaters, but I hope it gains enough of a cult following for a sequel. I DO hope it does well enough to generate a sequel. It’s worthy of one.
My favorite song from this movie:
